May 3rd to 5th, 2019 (Saugatuck, MI)

The Kuklafest weekend is a three day puppetry conference at OxBow for serious puppeteers from around the country. For local residents, the conference opens with a Friday night Gala Fundraiser at The Saugatuck Woman's Club, and culminates on Sunday with A Picnic with Puppets, an event for local families at Oxbow.

A collaboration between West Michigan Puppet Guild and the Detroit Guild of Puppetry, Kuklafest is a festival created to celebrate puppeteer and creator of the television show and "Kulka, Fran, and Ollie", Burr Tillstrom.  It will be held at the camp where Tillstrom taught classes (including to a young Jim Henson!)
